| Hello everyone, today I want to take you to Birmingham city centre |
| To show you what we have here |
| Let’s take a look at the largest train station in Birmingham first |
| This is Birmingham New Street Station |
| There is another train station nearby called Moor Street Station |
| New Street Station is kind of like a mall itself |
| The ground floor is the concourse |
| One level below is the platform |
| There are different shops and restaurants on first floor |
| When you walk out of Birmingham New Street Station and walk towards Bullring |
| You will be able to see Chinese Quarter |
| There are many different types of Asian restaurants in the Chinese Quarter |
| There are also several Asian supermarkets |
| There are also two Chinese restaurants where you can “yum cha” |
| There is also a bakery on the ground floor that sells Chinese bread |
| There are also several restaurants in Arcadian |
| There are not only Asian restaurants but also other western and fusion restaurants |
| There is also a supermarket called Day In |
| Although it’s quite compact, it is enough to replenish your groceries |
| When you walk back to the Bullring direction from Chinese Quarter |
| There will be an Indoor Market which looks like a wet market in Hong Kong |
| As soon as you enter, there will be fish stalls and some butcher shops |
| There are also some stalls selling fruits, vegetables and other food items |
| There is another place called Rag Market |
| There are many small shops, most of them sell miscellaneous goods |
| For example, electronic appliances, kitchen appliances, or some handmade jewellery |
| And then there is an Open Market outside |
| This is an outdoor market |
| Selling fresh fruits and vegetables |
| Open every Tuesday to Saturday from 9am |
| Normal business hours are until 4 to 5pm |
| But in fact, there are not many food left for sale at 1 to 2pm |
| Many shops will start to close |
| If you want to buy fresh vegetables here, you’d better come in the morning |
| You will see Bullring if you walk up from the Open Market |
| Bullring is a big mall in the heart of Birmingham |
| There are many popular chain stores inside |
| For example, pharmacies, clothing brands, jewellery stores, shoe stores |
| There are also shops selling sports goods and household goods |
| Leaving Bullring, we are at Birmingham’s main shopping area. It’s mainly composed of three streets |
| They’re High Street, New Street and Corporation Street |
| There are shopping, entertainment, food, and banks in this area |
| First of all, you can see the largest Primark in the UK |
| Primark is actually a fashion store that sells cheap clothing |
| And homewares |
| And further forward there will be a Marks & Spencer |
| This M&S has three floors. The lower ground is a supermarket |
| If you want to buy some high-quality food in the city centre, you can come to M&S to have a look |
| The ground and first floor are selling clothing and other household items |
| And here is Poundland |
| Poundland is like a $12 store in Hong Kong and a 100yen store in Japan |
| The stuff here is £1 for one |
| There are many different kinds of food and daily necessities |
| Sometimes you can find good bargains in here |
| However, there are certain items that are cheaper to buy in the supermarket |
| So if you’re used to comparing prices, it’s better to do so before you purchase anything from Poundland |
| Boots and Superdrug have two branches in the city centre respectively |
| They are the most common pharmacies in the UK |
| We usually buy daily necessities here such as shampoo and body lotion |
| There is also a Muji in the city centre |
| If you really miss Muji’s products |
| Don’t worry you can get them easily in Birmingham City Centre |
| Of course the price is much more expensive than in Hong Kong |
| There is also an Apple Store on New Street |
| Buying Apple products in the UK will be much more expensive than in Hong Kong |
| Because there will be VAT |
| But it’s quite convenient to have an Apple Store here |
| In case there is a problem with your Apple product, you can take it to the store to repair |
| As for getting groceries, there are several supermarkets in the city centre |
| Tesco itself has two or three stores here |
| And there is a Sainsbury’s just next to Poundland |
| Although this type of supermarket is relatively small |
| Because it’s difficult to build larger supermarkets in the city centre |
| Supermarket of this size can still meet your daily needs of groceries |
| In terms of entertainment, *New Street* also has a cinema called Odeon |
| We used to watch movies here back in 2019. A movie ticket is only £5 |

| Every December Christmas market will be held here on *New Street* |

| When we went for voting two weeks ago, the polling station is located in this building |
| And if you go further, you will arrive at the library |
| This library is the largest public library in Europe with 31,000 sqft |
| There is also a large open space outside the library |
| There will be a ferris wheel and ice skating rink here at Christmas |
| Going a little further you will be at Birmingham’s Canal area |
| And there is a very famous Broad Street here |
| There are many different restaurants and pubs, which is where everyone goes for leisure |
| But now because the Metro system is being expanded, access are being partly restricted |
| So Broad Street is less busy these days |
| But it’s actually quite relaxing to take a walk in the Canal area |
| In addition to trains and buses, Birmingham also has a Metro system |
| It’s like a tram that takes you from Birmingham to Wolverhampton |

| The farthest station in the city centre is library |

| 咁無論係中餐西餐或者其他國家嘅料你呢選擇其實都非常之多嘅唔知點心嘅有局呢就係隔離嘅買完啲嘢頭先睇到嘅力charlie’s angel同埋一個廟私人嚟嘅咁就叫我哋兩個禮拜前去投票投票站入面嘅最大嘅公共圖書館嚟嘅呢就有三萬一千呎聖誕節嘅時候呢就會有摩天輪同埋溜冰場係咪有嘅運河區天河區附近就有一條 |
| 有好多唔同同埋酒吧地方嚟嘅因為佢哋咁所以好多位呢都係封咗嘅咁所以呢間比較靜嘅但係其實都幾舒服嘅咗火車同巴士之外啦佢都有一個metals就係類似好似電視咁嘅咁就可以呢畀你又唔去深圳嘅圖嘅附近都有好多唔同嘅巴士線啦有附近嘅其他成真嘅都知道大概係點 |

| 有泰式啦越南日本菜有台式飲品呀有啲燒味點心同埋啲 |
| 咁街嘅另外一邊呢其實都可以拍得到車啦 |
| 之後離開咗糖街行10分鐘左右呢就會去返啲你又西式啲嘅街道同埋啲餐廳都會有啲公共交通工具穿梭曼徹斯特嘅市中心 |
| 行前多少少呢就會有個大型嘅商場呀呢一邊呢就有好多唔同嘅舖頭 |
| 有啲銀行啦同埋呢上面呢都會有一個food court嘅 |
| 已經過咗呢一條電梯呢就上咗food court咁上面都有唔同種類嘅食物啦咁可以坐低慢慢食下嘢 |
| 商場另一邊呢其實都有好多唔同嘅舖頭 |
| 我哋會見到有貢茶啦咁可以買返啲儀式嘅飲品附近呢都係有啲超市同埋買衫呀褲呀商店 |
